Slice lives to support emerging writers. Whether we’re publishing them alongside literary legends in our magazine, or drawing back the curtain on the publishing industry with our writers’ conference, we exist to help them rise from aspiring writer to published author.
And guess what? It’s working. Previously unpublished authors have landed book deals after appearing in Slice. Student writers have signed with agents after meeting them at our writers’ conference.

Through a slice for Slice, you can join our efforts to support emerging writers in any number of ways—from funding authors’ first paychecks to sponsoring students to attend our conference. And whatever slice you choose, you’ll be giving twice! Donate a slice up to $50 and you'll have the option to receive a two-year gift subscription for anyone on your list. Slices of $100 and up qualify for a Slice magazine bundle for the bookworm in your life (issues 1 to 11).
